I've been programming as a hobby in VB.NET for about one year now. When I started attending South Georgia Tech, Introduction To Visual Basic .NET was one of the first classes I got put in. I've been interested in programming for years (ever since doing BASIC on a VTech learning computer). I enjoyed the class so much, that I started teaching myself more online, and by using Intellisense. I even borrowed my instructor's VB 2005 book so I could learn even more about VB. My main project right now is an open source browser that I hope may be an aid to other beginners that do similar projects.

VB.Net is my primary language. I have been using it for about 3 years. Currently I am working on an electronic testing system. Currently I do all Windows Forms based programming in VB.Net. I like writting front ends for windows commands; I've done one for netstat and two for openfiles. I also like writting screen scrappers for websites, as my biggest interest is screen scrapping and string parsing. I have also written a small web crawler.

I'm 22, work at a hospital, building windows forms, and occasional asp.net apps,
mainly in VB.net. Despite not holding any kind of degree and beeing mainly self-tought,
I considder myself avarage skilled in programming. Aknowledging the disadvantage of not
havving a degree however, learning and gaining experience is in most things I do my highest
goal, and is also the primary reason of my presence on this forum.

My current VB.NET project is an appointment system for a doctor's office both in windows and asp.net so patients will be able to connect with an e-mail and password and book their own appointments but not be able to see who the other patients are.

Hello, my name is Joonas, and I've been doing VB.Net for about 3 years. Projects I've done:
- Tic Tac Toe
- RTF Notepad

Current project:

Well, its in the sig as well, but I'll tell about it anyways. It's an MP3 player with playlist files, repeat, shuffle and stuff. Here's a pic of the player:
IPB Image

Oh, and I made it mostly for myself, so its in Finnish. The upper buttons are for playing, pausing and stopping.

The lower part buttons are for manipulating the playlist. Like saving a PL, loading one from a file, adding songs, moving them...

Hey there,

I am from Nova Scotia, Canada. Started programming about 8 months ago, using VB.net for about four. I am currently enrolled in a IT program with a concentration on programming. Thus far I very much like what I have been doing, have made a number of projects both for school and stupid little ideas I come up with on my own tongue.gif . Currently working on creating a database with a web form UI for students to submit consent to release information forms for my college. Have already learned allot from D.I.C tutorials and look forward to contributing as I learn more smile.gif

I've been casually working with VB.NET for about a year. I use VB here and there and I usually create programs related to Mathematics and Graphics. Right now, I'm working on a Graphics Designer, similar to TurboCAD.

Hi, I'm Todd. I've been programming in vb.net for about 6 months. It's my first programming language. It has been really useful and has taught me the basics of programming. It's my language of choice; even if I'm programming C++ I think in vb.net. I am currently a student in NZ.

Hey everyone, Patrick here.

I've been working with VB.NET for about two and a half years now, and I've gained quite a bit of knowledge about it.

I'm currently working on two large projects, both of which are commercial. The first is a scheduling application for small and medium businesses to manage (and schedule, of course) their staff. It consists of two VB.NET applications and a third ASP.NET web application. My second project is a single desktop application for teachers and schools to manage their testing more efficiently - I can't and won't say more, sorry.

I've received great help here already, and when I have the time I plan on helping out around here as well, but with these two projects I've been busy, busy, busy.

Hi,

Been coding VB.Net commercially for about 8 years.. Worked on everything from simple command line apps.. through to full blown real-time , multi-threaded transaction brokers.
