that's actually just an opinion. it doesn't mean that you can or can not get it from eating pork, but the reality of it is that there is always a chance that you can. do you know how much bacteria is on pork products? my goodness, i'm surprised more people aren't getting sick.

i knew eating pork was bad from the get go! you guys should just join me in the healthy life of a vegetarian wink.gif

Eating pork really is not the problem. When people was just eating pork there wasn't a big issue. But the virus has mutated to transfer from human to human and thus is the problem that is happening now.

Probably just like the big deal of the bird flu a few years back and it will fall away into oblivion.

Will wait and see what happens.

Bird flu was and still is a big deal in Asia. Live over there for a few years.

Haha, I was wondering when we'd see this topic appear…

Well, I shall open up an interesting theory. Anyone here heard of essential oils? If not…they're basically natural plant extracts with homeopathic medicinal properties. A bit more interesting…anyone here heard of the Thieves essential oil blend? The legend is that back in the days of the Black Plague, the Thieves wore masks drenched in this combination of oils (clove, cinnamon, lemon, rosemary, to name a few) so they could rob the bodies of dead victims. I predict a sudden sale rise for the Thieves company (harborers of the long-locked-up secret) in the next few weeks…

Which is why I live in the US, to avoid such things as this. When it is a problem here I will worry about it, until then life is to short.

US is also infected BigAnt.

Also, I've heard it's more than just the swine flu. Apparently it was created in Mexico City by foreign scientist and they combined the Bird Flu and Swine Flu, and they added the infectivity of the Human Flu. It's a super virus.

Prepare your guns, zombies are going to invade next. :D

I've heard about this just recently. What are the symptoms of the Flu? I could probably search it on Google, but it'd be easier to hear a general range.

i already set up the basis for my post-apocalyptic motorcycle gang during the financial meltdown. Super is one of my generals. We will take residence in Austin due to its proximity to the gulf (oil) # of coeds (who we will turn into slaves) centrality in the US (so we can control a vast empire) and some pretty decent highways for quick movement of our mechanized army.

I dont think the bird flu ever really mutated enough to pass much between people...this has potential to be a nasty booger....and god I hate being sick *pulls covers over head*

a) not good in that it has killed a bunch of 25-40 yr olds which is a sign of a stronger disease than one that takes the weak.

Exactly

B) mexico might be covering up up to 200+ deaths to prevent craziness

Who Mexico lie? No fucking way...
Honestly though, I'd bet half the population of Mexico is infected...Mexico is probably full of puke right now. One massive burritto.

c) globalization has already pushed it past the point of containment and its person-to-person transmission makes it easier to transfer

=============================

a) tamiflu has some possible effects on it

Owning Stock in it rules.

B) 3-4 months we will have a vaccine

But chances are being out of treatment in a month or less alot of us will more than likely not get to see that. My thoughts of the reason behind it killing so many in Mexico is because of the lack of treatment. boooo..

c) american healthcare system has massive stockpiles of antiviral drugs in relation to mexico

month or less. we have far few antiviral drugs compared to the population.

d) fearmongering.

Fuck it...you're right.. *switches off "Stone Shephard"*

I hate Fox....those guys are creeeeeepy Brain washers :)
