Display pictures in Visual Basic through Data Environment

Post icon  Posted 03 May 2009 - 09:33 PM

Hi There!
I created an access database which contains info about our employees. In the employees table, there is an OLE object field called IdPhotos for storing bmp id photos for each employees.
I connect through to the database from Visual Basic 6.0 through the Data Environment to display the info in my Visual Basic Forms. Works OK for other fields but not for the Idphoto filed.
I insert the photos into the access table & it show "package". The problem is that field hence the photos does not show when i tried to displayed it in the vb forms through an image control when i run the VB program.

Can someone help me with this???

thanks

I believe (could be wrong) that you need to bind the control to the field and you may need to use the OLE control. It's been a long time....

Good Luck
