use your photoshop actions

Posted 03 February 2002 - 03:48 PM

when you get a web object the way you like it,
go back and write an action that makes the object for you
save your action file with your site,  and then at anytime in the future you can always add objects that exatctly match your site.

this is awesome when you have a client that sends you 400 images that are all 5000x5000 pixels and you do an action to resize, rotate, and save... but you take this one step furhter and use the Automation (File > Automate) and then goto bath and select the action you want, takes some time to perfect an action like that, in the time it takes you to do the action, you could have only done about 5 images, you can crank through 400 with an automate command in about 10 minutes!

I'll write a tutorial. You'll have to wait until after the Super Bowl though. I'm watching the commercials.

sorry,  hehe

if you go to your 'action' pallet,   then click the 'record' button on bottom,   it will start recording everything you do.   when you done,  hit 'stop'
and then anytime you wanna do the same thing,  just 'play' that action again.

it's accually really easy once you figure it out    hehe

ahhh so like, that image chris posted like a week ago, with teh wavy triangles and such. You could do all that and make than an action, so whenever someone asks you for it or whatever u just  find that action, play it, and have 400 in like 10 minutes, right?

yay
