Hello everyone!

My name is Ivan and I'm new here. I've been lurking around this site for a while know.
Today I said: "no more lurking! Join and be an active member!"

I'm from Zagreb, Croatia, soon to be 24 years of age.
I'm currently finishing my studies: B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (in the field of Optical Communications).

I'm learning Java for a few months know (currently that learning is on hiatus since I'm preoccupied with studies).
I'm also interested in .NET 3.5 (C#) and I'm gonna get into that a bit later when I feel a bit more confident in my programming.
I'm learning Java from Bruce Eckel's Thinking in Java 4th ed.

Hey Ivan, welcome to DIC! It's great to see that you finally joined! I've never been to Croatia, but I would like to make a stop by on my next trip to Europe, which will hopefully be this summer.

I'm glad you're interested in a variety of languages, you mentioned C# and Java. There are many knowledgeable experts here who can help you in C# or C++, as well as helpful snippets and tutorials. As for Java, I'm also interested in Java! I hope we can get to know each other, and I hope to see you getting help in that field.
