C++ can be used to make games, but its not suited to the internet. You could make an application they could download that would connect to the internet, but in order to be played on the internet you need some sort of server side language skills, like java or php. C++ could play a part in it, and the skills you learn from C++ will definitely transfer over to other languages that you would need. GOOD LUCK!
