Automatically post files to web Site

Posted 08 May 2009 - 01:25 PM

I manage a church web site and was asked to find out if there is a way for say the church administrator to setup a webpage so that he can FTP files to a folder on the site and have it populate a web page without copying and pasting of embed codes.

I looked at many of the sync programs such as Sugarsync and others and was wondering if a sync container could be coded in a web page and when any file changes on a synced client it would update the web page automatically.

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

Yes, you can create an ftp script, & then when you can setup ftp to launch at automated times.

If you are using Windows, you can setup a scheduled task, & use the option -s:filename

If you are using Linux, you can setup a crontab, & use the option, & write a shell script to automate the process.
