i too think theyre unreliable since these tests are written by human beings and each one has a different perspective of intelligence

online IQ tests are not accurate in the least as they are loosely based on real IQ tests. Most countries have their own unique test which uses logical questions based on your region comparing your physical age to your mental age. They can be taken (possibly for a fee) at most large educational institutions. Eg: Universities, many high schools and often adult learning centres.
I haven't taken one in more than 6 years, but I scored 153 on that particular one. Some of the questions assume knowledge which probably shouldn't be assumed, but overall I found it a fair cross section of questions. At least for what they are meant to judge; logic, deductive reasoning and word association are most often the largest sections of the test.

I do not support any form of IQ. The questions they asked may not represent you personally. They ask all kind of weird and sometimes trick questions. Just because you do not know a particular question doesn't mean you can't answer 5 other questions when someoone can only answer that question so they score higher then you.

Let's get rid of all tests as someone somewhere may not know an answer. Oh and the SATs are racist.

If the IQ test is done properly all question should be weighted equally. It is meant to be a (as in 1) measure of intelligence, not the measure of intelligence. It is impossible to properly gauge everything everyone knows.
The "trick" questions are on purpose, they evaluate your ability to adapt to the problem and think in non-linear ways. Also known as "thinking outside the box".

IQ tests don't actually prove anything, but since I have nothing better to do, I did a test.

You don't see IQ tossed around that much anymore; I wonder why?
I took an IQ test when I was little, like five. Testing the very young is tricky, because all the "common knowledge" stuff is useless. I did well enough that they had me take it again; I buggered their curve.
I have a couple of big issues with IQ tests. One is that asking any daily trivia assumes that knowledge of such things reflects the ablilty to think. I've known some brilliant people who never bother with the "news." A standard IQ test would call them idiots.
However, the big thing is the common lie of psychology: statistics. You probably know that an IQ of 100 is average. In fact, the bell curve associated with the test is always skewed to make 100 the average. Simple observation makes that bell curve seem a little off. An IQ 120 means you're pretty bright. Not mensa bright, but possible A student bright. Go twenty points the other way, to IQ 80, and you're practically a ward of the state. Basically, by the statistical logic, for every group of clever people there would need to be a similar group of morons. Something just ain't right.
Also, IQ is actually a generic term. There are tons of tests and none of them completely agree.
To put a computer science AI spin on things, we just really don't know how to quantify human intelligence. We can measure some particular aptitude, but we really don't understand the whole the package. I kind of hope we never do.
