Installing Applications On Your Mobile Phone

Post icon  Posted 17 March 2005 - 06:30 AM

Hey,
I usually transfer my ringtones, wallpapers etc. by uploading it to a server and downloading it via my WAP-GPRS enabled phone.
But now I want to transfer Applications. The problem is that a J2ME App consists of a .JAR and a .JAD File.
My phone does not accept .JAR extensions through WAP and i think Applications can be installed only via a Data Cable or by IRDA port/Bluetooth Connection.

But if the Ringtones and Wallpapers can be transferred via upload...i guess the same can be applied to Applications right?
If yes...then how do I do it?

Thanks in advance.
P.S-> I dont have a data cable and dont plan on buying one either...
