Well, not really exploded. But I give a couple of months and it'll make some headlines.

I made this software called FastFlick where users can download movies and when I google the term is shows up in the front page! How cool is that!

Now I can check that off the list

Anyways, what kind of bothers me is that random people from the internet are uploading it to forums, external servers, etc. Are they people or bots? I'm thinking they're bots because what gain could people get from doing that?

They might be spreading the word so that there are even more resources... It might be a good thing!

I'm just a little anxious that they might be creating malicious files. Also, are they people or bots?

It is possible that they are trying to take credit for it, or (more likely) they like it and want to share it with others.

It's cool though, the more people use it the better. However, can this software get me into legal trouble?

Edit: After seeing all the posts, they copied exactly everything I posted on my blog, including my email. I'm thinking they're bots.

I'm downloading it right now. It looks pretty cool! Where does it get the movies from?

Edit: A little buggy - It kinda freezes up when it's running the search. Other than that, this is great! Nice layout too.

I know the GUI freezes during search, I'm gonna fix that in the next version overhaul. It's really hard for me to comprehend how to use threads. People here have tried to show me tutorials, guides, walkthroughs and I still don't know how to use them in FastFlick.

I guess I just have to suck it up and down 16 RedBulls.

I guess it's legal. I'm not actually hosting any files. I'm not sharing anything. All I'm doing is basically what Google is doing. I'm not even hosting a tracker. xD

I don't believe you can be held responsible for anything illegal with the product, but it's just as illegal to download the movies as if you torrented them anywhere else.

However, the tool is pretty nice, a couple bugs (already mentioned), but nice.

When searching for what term? The actual title? The only thing I get for searching FastFlick is your Share Your Project thread.
