Google Chrome

Posted 15 June 2009 - 02:20 AM

Has anyone used Google Chrome yet? If so, how do you like it? Did you have any problems with it? I'm downloading it right now to give it a try.

Yep, don't like it, far too simplistic for the time it takes to download, reminds me of Firefox... Sticking to the best browser available atm, Opera :D

Be careful in what you type. Chrome will record it down.

I use it, and if you develop anything for the web, you should at least have it for testing your sites against.
It's very useful for certain tricks - like if you give the shortcut link "--incognito" it starts in anonymous mode which is great for very quick checks of sites with no cookie or other session data getting in the way. If I want to be logged into a site and viewing it not-logged-in simultaneously (as if I were two users) this is how I usually do it.

Pro: It's very fast, very clean and small and has an immediately intuitive interface.
Con: it's not extensible (yet) or themable and doesn't work very well outside Windows (yet)

Google Chrome's JS is the fastest I've seen so far.
But Chrome sends a unique ID (that can be used to identify your computer) to Google Servers everytime you visit a page, so you should avoid it if you care about privacy.

Absolutely not, they just decided to give in to the best, after all. Firefox may announce that soon too!

Realise this? If you use google your searches will be tracked. If you use chrome it only helps the google bots on new website searching. It does not log everything you write. Once chrome came to linux had to test it and will be using when doing websites to test the site.

Used it. Loved it. Once it supports the linux flash plugin, i'll use it as my primary browser.
