MFC CDialog

Post icon  Posted 16 June 2009 - 02:28 AM

Hey guys

I have been developing a little program for for dvd collection and ive made it in a win32 console app. I have decided to take it further now and create a GUI for it in MFC.

I have never done any MFC at all and i was wondering if anyone knew a good tutorial site to get me started?

I have been trying to make a dialog and the simplest operations are impossible for me to do at the moment.
I have created a dialog for my login and a main menu but i can even find how to close a dialog and open another :(
(just an example of the level im at with MFC lol)

Im using visual studio 2008 professional

Any suggestions
Kevin

To add another dialog,
project -> new resource -> dialog -> new,
double click your dialog to bring up the class wizard,
save your dialog as dialog2, make sure its as CDialog type,
in your first dialog add the header

 #include "dialog2.h"

( make sure its the last header on the bottom)
drag a button on your first dialog and double click on it,
in the button function add the following code,

dialog2 dlg2
dlg.DoModal();

you now have a working second dialog
