well to be honest...

Your "some data grid" is really not as descriptive as it could have been so I looked at a couple of controls and can say it is not and of the following...

Microsoft DataGrid Control
Microsoft DataList Control
ListView Control

And quite frankly I'm tired of looking for this control

Good Luck

I would say use the MSFlexGrid, to get the BEST performance. U can control even single cell as in Excel.

try this.. i've copied it from my coding.. that might help u..

If fgridAttendance.Col = 3 Then
fgridAttendance.Text = "A": fgridAttendance.CellBackColor = vbRed: fgridAttendance.CellForeColor = vbWhite
ElseIf fgridAttendance.Col = 5 Then
fgridAttendance.Text = "A": fgridAttendance.CellBackColor = vbRed: fgridAttendance.CellForeColor = vbWhite
End If

and Use the TextMatrix method to access the values saves in the Grid...

All the best. :-db
