VB.net and SQL

Ok, i am new at this implementing SQL with VB.Net.
First question. how to get started with the implementation of sql into VB.net. How can i call a database from VB.Net? what is the easiest way to get started?

Ok great. i will check this out and get things going from there. then i will see about combining everything into a web application.
