Yeah, the stone dragon is supposed to be a guardian that animates in time of crisis. With out the eyes it can't.
I will be interested in looking at sapphire.net at some point. Still in the distance though.

How many projects are you currently working on exactly? It seems like a dozen now.
I know you're working on this RPG...a smash em up for the contest...

Hi Chuck,
Only three at the moment. Though the RPG takes most of my time. Crystal Caverns is more of a side project I look at time to time it isn't as important as the other two. The other one for the Game Institute I'm trying to work on but the RPG takes top priority as I'm also writing a tutorial series on it and keeping things up to date on the web site/blog.
Regards,
Jamie

Awesome, a little similar to the Oblivion story line with the Amulet of Kings, but thats no bad thing and anyhows, coming up with an original story line nowadays is like trying to get energy out of water...which supposedly some guy managed, but then couldnt prove it...in other words he lied to get some attention.

Graynar, the great stone dragon, stood over the village of Hartsward, protecting the village from the hordes of monsters that lived to the east. The stone dragon would animate during times of crisis. A daring thief has stolen the precious emeralds that were the dragon's eyes. With out them Graynar can not animate. A hero has be dispatched to find the lost gems before the monsters that live to the east gather and crush the village.
I have a few screen shots I will post a little later. They are by no means the final version. They are just the steps I've been taking.

These are different projects. Crystal Caverns is a side scroller I'm working on. This is the tile set I'm using for this project.

Note, these tiles were made using Genetica Viewer by Spiral Graphics. (Have to say that as part of the free license conditions)

This is the main menu:

I've also made a sample from the tile engine with items on it. The chests are just temporary until I make/find some better graphics:

Hey SixOfEleven, have you though about adding 3d cut scenes to your game and I'm very interested in seeing the source because I don't get XNA one bit, lol
