I have installed XAMPP For Windows and have a quick (i.e n00b) question. In the XAMPP folder (C:\xampp) there is a folder named htdocs, is this where I should hold all my PHP files for the test website I'm working on, or should they be in the www folder inside C:\xampp\php?

Thanks @MageUK and @noorahmad. I now have Dev-PHP set to use C:\xampp\htdocs as the home directory

No problem, you can always change/check it in C:\xampp\apache\conf, the DocumentRoot contains the path to where your files should be

You should be able to get away with telling apache (httpd.conf) where to look for the root directory. Especially if you are running virtual hosts.
