So a few weeks ago i let on of my friends borrow my c++ book and he lost it, and that was my uber favorite book, but it was from like 1993 so i can't really find it online or in any bookstores.
Wondering if anyone has any good suggestions for c++ books?

ummm... i know that you are much further in your learning experiance, but i found C++ for dummies really helpful (ah good ol' dummies). This book probably isn't much good to you, but anyone who isn't too advanced in this area, could get some help out of this book. Go down to barnes and noble.... they have a lot of books (no duh?) but just browse through some and find one that has the material you need, and a format you like. Also, Hastings has a few books you may be intrested in.

come to speak of it, i was actually at barnes an nobles the the other day looking at that very book. it seems pretty easy to understand if you are just starting out in c++, and yes i would also recommend it, even if you have never programmed before.

Seeing as it's for beginners I don't know how well you'd like it, But my fav book so far in terms of an easy read but decently through isO'Reilleys Practical C Programming by Steve Oualline. I checked it out from the library on a whim and it turned out to be a very good book to me. Sorry no link

Hi,
C++ primer by stann lipman is a very good book for a beginner.
Try that one.
And the c++ book By Bjourne Stroustrup is also a wonderful book.
But that is not so nice for beginners.
