Maybe this will have to be moved to the heated topics but I thought I'd give it a shot in the lounge first.

The scenario is the following,
You are being offered money in exchange for being locked up completely for two whole years.
During these two years you'll be completely isolated from other people.
Food will be provided as well as a place to sleep but other than that you'll have nothing.
You'll have the opportunity to spend one hour outdoors each day in a very restricted area. (Let's say 10m x 10m ~ 30ft x 30ft)

Question is, what is your price? How much money would you demand to agree to these conditions?

when you say nothing, like nothing at all? no books, pen and paper? anything?
I reckon you'd go insane after that. You develop such a routine and would have to spend you prize money on years of therapy to break it

Yes. Life is precious. Even 2 years is too much to waste. That's 2 years worth relationships to build, fun to be had, success to be gained, people to help, etc. I wouldn't trade that for anything.

10 million and I would do it. I figure heck, two years of my life gone will set me up with 300k a year in interest on that 10 million at 3% for the rest of my life. Enough to live comfortably till I die. That is, if insanity is not an issue here.

If insanity is an issue here, then I wouldn't do it for any amount of money because money is not worth losing ones mind.

Yeah like anyone would give 10 billion to imprison someone. 10 billion is more than most people in the world have. I figure most people would do it for a 8 digit paycheck.

I have to look at the bright side, at least while I am in there with nothing to do I won't have to put up with the n00bs begging for code.

Money is just money, it isn't really worth anything.

They just want you to believe that it is, thus keeping you distracted whilst they horde the remaining supply of Earth's gold. Maybe it is because they think that when the Anunnaki return, they'll spare the lives of those offering up the most gold this time around.

I would do it for as little as a million as i don't see me making that much in 2 years by working a job.

Most likely you don't save up a million dollars in 10 years, especially if you consider all expenses you have.
We're still talking about lost lifetime here, time in which you can do nothing, study nothing, experience nothing.
