Greetings, salutations, and other warm and welcoming words

Posted 13 July 2009 - 03:21 AM

Hi all,

I'm Aaron from Sydney, Australia. I know HTML and CSS, and I've had the bright idea of attempting to learn some other languages, namely PHP. I want to jump into the deep end by designing a text-based in-browser game, however this is not the thread for that. My main hobby is photography and I upload my images to deviantART.

Not sure what else to say so if anyone's got any questions post away.

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

Hello Glaycyer. Welcome to Dream.In.Code.

Where did you get your username? Are you like a big ol' block of ice? lol

Australia seems like a lovely place. I'd love to visit one day, but since I never plan to get on an airplane that's probably not going to happen.

I like photography, too. I'm just not very good at it.

What brings you to our site? Have you ever done any C++ coding? Fun, fun fun! lol
:P

Thanks for the welcome! I was flicking through an exploration book and happened upon the word 'glacier'. I though it was a pretty cool word but when I tried using it to register for another website it was already taken, so I just modified it a bit. I'm not really one for numbers in my user name.

You could always come via ocean liner :)

I haven't done any C++ ... I don't know any programming languages yet, just simple old HTML and CSS. I intend to learn PHP in the very near future, though.
