Problem Publishing Tutorial

Posted 31 July 2009 - 03:04 AM

Hi there.

A short time ago I published a tutorial for VB .Net about creating a stopwatch. 45 minutes later, and it still doesn't appear in the forums. I search all I can about it and it apparently doesn't exist.

Is this because the tutorials are "censored" first before publication? Or was there more than likely a problem with the publishing of the post.

I also found a possible bug in the tutorial process:

When I preview my post, my selected Topic Type (Beginner, Intermediate etc.) is reset to [ Use None ] (well at least if I had previously selected "Beginner"). Is this intentional?

Thanks for the help!

Well, for your first question; yes DIC does have a moderation process for tutorials. So your contribution may take from hours to a day or two [depends on how busy mods are.] to get cleared and published. So be patient and your tutorial will be there in that section.

For the bug you found, if that's the case then I am sure Skyhawk will have a look at it.

You're the best Infinity! Thanks for the quick reply.

As you can understand; I just wanted to check about my query before I re-posted the tutorial. That would've been a hassle for everyone.

One week later and the tutorial still isn't up. I'm still not sure if there was a problem submitting it. Is there any way I can check to see if the "confirmation" is pending?

@CheckersW At this time there are no tutorials pending under your name. This means that your tutorial was disapproved. Check your PM to see the reason.
