how can i convert swf to h.264, as youtube recommend h.264 format to upload.
but i wonder is there a .h.264 format ? i've seem flv h.264, mpeg h.264 and i am really confused...

h.264 is a codec. Video streams in the h.264 codec generally sit in an mpeg-4 container; often these files have the extension mp4.

There are numerous tools for transcoding from any given codec to h.264, many of them are free, it can even be done with the popular VLC Player.

In what codec or container is your video currently in? If you do not know, then post the full filename with the file extension intact.

the youtube recommend formats are : flv, mpeg-2, mpeg-4, all of them can be converted to with h.264 encoder.
for you flash swf files, if you have the source you can try flash cs3, it can export swf file to other format, but if not, you can use a swf to h.264 converter, i use swf to flv converter which works well for me. maybe you can try.

I tried opening my swf in VCL however it is not showing all the layers what am I doing wrong?

I tried opening my swf in VCL however it is not showing all the layers what am I doing wrong?

I have used VLC Players to both rip dvds and convert videos, however, the result is disappointed. Much quality lost after conversion.

I finally choose iskysoft video converter which does all I need and yet yields better quality.
