For networking I would suggest Pocket Guide to TCP/IP Sockets (C Version)

Though not programming, one of my favorite computer books is Steal this computer book. It's got some fun stories to tell.

By the way, that's quite a list. Try to be more specific, as there is a lot out there.

The pickaxe book for Ruby (also called Programming Ruby)! As far as game programming, you would probably have to choose a particular graphics toolkit and use that if you want to have some kind of graphics. After you've chosen one, then you can find a book (or online resource) for it.

"Patterns of Enterprise Application Architecture" by Fowler is probably my favorite programming book.

Also have a look at Ruby by Example from No Starch Press for a hands on approach to Ruby programming. Its an immensely useful book.
