This question is kind of silly, given that most people are just going to answer with whatever OS they prefer.
Which is "nicer" to program? Windows or Mac OS X?for those who have worked with both.

Funny enough, I actually don't have a real preference in OSs. The gaming and work PC I have is Win 7, but the laptop I keep in my room for media and browsing is a Macbook. My answer was from my experiences with trying both.
But you're right, most people would probably make this a generic PC vs Mac debate (as we already see).

I would have to agree that with the GUI's and other graphical stuff in programming, MAC is a bit harder to use. I use a mac myself, although i use java, so it doesn't fully matter. It does help a great deal with terminal to program though. Terminal already comes with bash, java, ruby, and other universal languages. The want to program with either comes from experience of the user, and it depends on what kind of person you are.
