How are you getting data into your Silverlight application?

Since we've now got a WPF & Silverlight forum let's get some talk going about those technologies. If you're doing Silverlight development how do you get your data into your application? If you chose other please explain what you're using to get data into your Silverlight application.

As our WPF applictaions power robotics all our parameters are stored on non-volatile-ram slots on the microprocessor on the robot
