Hey guys I'm new to this side of the creation fence so forgive me if i sound a little wet behind the ears. I'm a Graphic Artist who knows a little C+ but not much and I'm trying to find someone who can make a tutorial for a thick skull like mine.
What I'm looking for:
A 2d sidescroller Multi Character and Co-op able Rpg tutorial based in Visual studio C# 2010 Express.
A simple set up would be fine but the more you could teach me the better.
I have already designed the sprites, backgrounds, menus, and icons as well as planned out the major details of the system workings, I just haven't been able to find a tutorial put together well enough to understand. I'm currently having trouble getting the sprites to load into Visual Studio C# 2010 Express. I keep getting an expected error on line 59 column 68 and an Expected Class, delegate, enum, interface,or struct error on line125 column 29, but according to the current tutorial i have i did it right so either I'm overlooking something or the tutorial writer wrote the instructions wrong. Hard to tell, they weren't meant to teach is all that is clear to me at the moment.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and i would even put u in my special thanks section.

You say C#, but you never mention XNA. If you're using C#, you should be using XNA. It's not really "optional". Check the XNA forum and info on tutorials there. It sounds like you are wanting to do networking, and that's one of the areas I haven't seen much on. I do almost exclusively 3D, so I'm probably not the best person to ask regarding 2D stuff like this. But ask around in the XNA forum; you're likely to get more traction with this overthere, especially if you start digging into doing it yourself and have specific questions.

I am using XNA and have been having trouble with finding an explanation of how to write the code that makes sense to me. Well thanks anyways i guess

Is there a tutorial on developing heightmaps that are butchered in C++?
I've tried NeHe's, but it's unreadable. I've tried Swiftless's tutorial,
but it is error-prone. And I've tried VideoRockTutorials and it's missing
a library.
Sorry, I meant "are not butchered."

Not really in tutorial format, but might be helpful.

I don't know what you find so difficult about Nehe's tutorials, they are about as detailed and clear as they come. I can't see how it can be broken down any more unless you just want cut and paste code.

FYI - for visual studios: you use 'DarkGDK.NET'

.. and "SFML.NET."

I have a strange request. I would like to see a video tutorial series that teachers the viewer how to build a simple 3D level or map editor, step-by-step. Naturally this should be done from a programming perspective, how to code the editor. The design aspect should naturally follow that.
Not teaching how to program while doing this, although if something exists that does that I would still like a link to this and any other existing tutorial on the subject.
This has been very hard to search for at YouTube, that's why I posted here.
