Hi,
I've written a little java app using suns Forte for Java on my XP machine. There were a few odd things happened during development, I still have one problem where hitting a button when editing a combo box entry doesn't fire a button event!
When it didn't run on win98 I took everything across and built the app on the (win98) machine. It built fine, and sparks up to front screen ok.
However, when I try to do anything, I get a spurious null pointer exception. I have put checks in all the routines from the stack trace to find a null pointer, but to no avail, it still crunches with a null pointer exception.
If any1 has has similar problems going from XP to win98, or can suggest any way forward, I'd like to hear from you!
thanx for your time,
nik.

Are you using an up to date version of the Java VM from Sun?
