The best way to get started would be to check out the resources section:

Then if you have a particular question on something post in the appropriate forum, that way you'll have literally a ton of people that could help you :)

Yup. It's kinda hard to just IM you about everything there is regarding HTML, or whatever you want to learn. The resources section is really helpful, and will get you started.

If you need any help, there are many experts and other people on this site happy to help, just ask. Like a few people have said, check out the resource section and you could try the tutorials sections also.
