Please post the code you have written in an effort to resolve the problem, and our members would be happy to provide some guidance. Be sure to include a description of any errors you are encountering as well.

There are obviously several things that you didn't consider before writing this.. First and foremost, are you planning on making your own protocol (of which PsychoCoder's tutorial should help you)?? Or are you planning on using an existing protocol such as MSN, Jabber, IRC, etc.
