not exactly, fasting is during the whole month and not just during the day..fasting is not only not having food and drinks, but to control all your instincts..that goes throughout the whole month..however we do fast during the day and eat after sunset

It is the Islamic month of fasting, in which participating Muslims refrain from eating, drinking, sexual conduct, smoking, and indulging in anything that is in excess or ill-natured; from dawn until sunset

So Neotifa/I was right.

Assuming the "forbidden" items are forbidden 24/7 rather then this one month, that point is moot.

By highlighting participating, I was merely commenting on the who/what/when/where and why of this particular event.

Similar example:

Lots of people say they are Catholic, but they aren't a active/participating Catholic, thus if one isn't a participating Muslim the rules imposed forthwith are ultimately irrelevant.

i keep seeing words but they always spell out "let me argue stupid semantics about something i have never done"

his point was that at night it's not a free for all, give it up.

oh, and happy ramadan duder.
