CMD Help?

Idk if right section so....

I want to use this to open VB but I cant get the CMD window to close after VB is opened
@echo off
cd visual studio 9
cd common7
cd ide
vbexpress.exe

With vbexpress.exe being launched by the shell, the shell will remain open until vbexpress.exe is closed, or done executing. It's parent/child relations, & not 1->2->3.

In Linux you could launch the process with an ampersand, thus pushing the execution to the background, but I don't think this is available for the dos shell.

try the following code :
@echo off
cd visual studio 9
cd common7
cd ide
start vbexpress.exe 
exit



I tested this with Notepad & it does like you are requesting.
