Http wrappers InSTR error

Hello there, im currently coding a small program in visual basic 6, it uses httpwrappers, it needs to send data to the site to login, in the wrapper on this line:

   HostX = Left$(Tempfile, InStr(1, Tempfile, "/") - 1)


is highlighted yellow with an invalid procdure or argument runtime error 5, i am going crazy , ive been coding for 2 years but i cant seem to get past this one:P lol, thankyou in advanced,

that dont give us much info. is it posible you dont have "/" in Tempfile variable?

seems the left function has some negative values
