Mini project ideas?

Hello, I've been messing about with C# for a few months - I'm hoping to spend my 12 month work placement next year at Microsoft. I'd like to get started on a mini project which would suit a beginner but I'm at a loss with ideas. Can anyone help? :)

Some of the projects under Text/Number categories are easy for beginners. Also Classes/Files/Databases categories are important. The rest are you can skip at first.
