Well...Let's talk about my perspective about what programming really is.

- In my perspective, programming is one of the hardest subjects ever ever to learn. This is the subject I fear the most. When u mention programming, the fear just run up through from my spine. So I am just wondering if there is any easy way to grasp the concept...

U know, some of you guys can program like nothing but I find it so damn difficult. Even there are a lot of tutorials out there online, none of which do really show you a real thing or give you a really detailed and clear explanation about the code and what really each of the syntax do. My question is if there is any book that is really for the noob(a really stupid noob) that need everything explained in detail) and then help you all the way through to become a advanced programmer, or at least help you to become comfortable with programming. And once when you see the real professionally written code like those done for commercial use, you know how they work and what they do and the way how they solve specific problem.

When i read this i felt the need to LOL for some reason, and im guessing there is such a book, since in programming there are alot of tutorials and i mean ALOT, with different contents altho i dont think they lead you all the way to Pro. The book your asking for is out there, but i guess that what you really need is to drop the "i cant learn this" and put more efford into learning xD

I think you're in the wrong forum.

Sadly i think you will find there is no one book as the amount of things needed to know is so much considering how many languages there are and how many different ways there are to address the same problems (in most cases).

It can be quite scary looking ahead and seeing where programming can lead to, however don't fear - start of small and be happy with what you can do, learn the real basics and master them. Then get another book on the next level (such as data structures) and master them... continue on into the dark blue yonder and eventually you find programming a logical and progressive pastime

If you want to learn spend a bit more and buy a good book by a good author who truly understands the language you are learning, everything ties in and the book progresses in the correct way. Programming for dummies glosses over everything where as a 1000 page book will go into detail and really explain the reasons why.

Stop. Right there. You're psyching yourself out. You can't even learn kindergarten if you're already afraid of it.

Lots of people are competent programmers. Some are doubtless smarter than you, but surely many are not. Anyone can learn anything, given time, passion, and belief that they can. If you don't believe you can, you're done.

Programming is big and scary because when you look at the totality of something it's always big and scary. However, the heart of programming is small and simple. The art programming is taking a big problem and breaking it down into many little problems. Professional programmers actually spend less time writing code and more time organizing what's been written into simpler, more understandable chunks. It may not be as hard as you think.

Start at the beginning. Pick a beginner's book and follow along faithfully. Don't jump to the end. Don't expect to write the next big MMORPG next week. Just strive to understand the first chapter, then the next, and so on.

Well for one thing you're browsing these forums, no? That alone demonstrates interest.

All you need to do is build that one little app that'll tickle your gooch and you'll feel the need to continue expanding and learning new things. That's not saying you won't hit a bump or two along the way but that's just a programmers life. Debug, debug and more debug.

If you need any help feel free to ask here, there's a ton of tutorials and whatnot.
