hello i dont have any code yet but i want to know which libarys or methods, calsses i should use to make a program get statistics from a shared folder. connecting to the folder is what i realy need to know what method i should use.

i want to use methods like , a program will search a folder on a server or even my workstation and count not just the files but the strings inside and then output it into a comma dalimited format. I know i should use reg expression or string builder of some type but i dont know what to use for searching folders
