My First Site

Posted 23 September 2009 - 10:37 AM

I have been learning HTML and CSS and this is my first site. It is for our commercial truck financing business so obviously we want not only to look good but to be functional. I look forward to your feedback. The site is located at www.capitalsolutionsonline.net Thanks in advance.

Looking good and being functional is the key to any web site that's designed. Personally, the background doesn't do it for me. Also you ave no immediate color scheme. In my opinion this is a good web 1.0 site, but we are in web 2.0. Graphics and visuals are huge for making a site look good. I would rethink your header for one... Rethink a bit of your CSS, things like using the default font may look good on certain websites may not look good on yours... Things like styling your links so that they go with your color pallet on your site is crucial. Like in yours you links on the left are green then your link at the bottom is purple. Things like that. Hope this helps.

Cheers
