Location abbreviations do not appear directly under our avatar. We see them when we hover onto the flag. That means their is no space/alignment problem in there. Why doesn't this forum use full location names instead of two letter abbreviations? That will just prevent unwanted confusions.

Well if its for nothing why are you so concerned about it?

Your flag says PK. Now, if i didn't immediately know what that was, I could use context clues (such as symbols on the flag) to get an immediate geographical location to search. Anyone with a high school diploma should know 95% of the flags on here.

Actually, I think it's interesting. Sometimes it provides context.

If you don't want to put nationality down, you don't. I actually left mine blank for some time. Then I got into some discussion about the US and it seemed disingenuous not to declare where I was from.

If you're inclined to be xenophobic, you probably don't need more than "that's not my flag" to do it.
