Hey everybody! thanks to all!! we're safe for the moment... for my birthday, i got a suh-weet ride on a chinook helicopter into our FOB (forward operating base). it was awesome!!! we had to fly at night so we had less of a chance of getting shot down but it was still fun!! lemme tell ya... watching out the back of a helicopter with night vision goggles watching the .50cal gunner in the back go nuts was awesome!! not to mention giving obscene gestures to the other chinook pilots 'cause you know they can see you too was fun!!!!
as for the whiskey... we're not allowed to drink during deployment but they do serve near-beer in the chow hall it's such a tease!
