Over the past week I've been working on a new template for my XNA tutorial portion of my site. I still need a nice graphic for the logo but that will come in time. I think the background color, bordering the page, might be a little too strong. Was just hoping for a little feed back.

One thing I would suggest, would be to add a little bit darker of a background. The purple header also seems kinda plain, I would photoshop a pattern with a small opacity in it. That might spice it up. Or better yet, I would add a picture of one your games with a high transparency so it blends in the background of the header. Other than that I really like the layout. One thing you may want to look at is instead of just saying, Tutorial 4, Tutorial 5. Maybe include the actual name of the tutorial so that people don't have to navigate through all the links to find the one they want. Also, I if you are going to center the site like you have then I would recommend putting some type of border around the main content area, That way it's not such a fast transition from main content area to background. Other than that looks great! Hope that helps

Yes, that was very helpful. Most of what you suggested is just updating the CSS file and a few images. I did have a border around the content but wasn't sure how well that worked.

I added in some borders but I'm not sure I like them entirely. I also added in a texture to the header that I like. Will have to find a nice image for the header but I redesigned the one I was using. I found a nice version of the XNA logo and added in the rest of my site name to it.

This is a great improvement from your previous templates. If you can, I suggest you ease up on the thickness of the line separating the two center columns.

Can I suggest a dark background? Maybe a black to dark purple gradient? I think it would focus the attention onto the main portion of the site. Not sure how it will look just a suggestion.

Thanks to both of you. I wasn't sure about the line in the middle of the screen. Fixing that would be an easy task. I will fiddle around with gradients for the header and see how that looks.

I think I made something that was rather interesting. It seems to have a bit of pop to it and makes the text really stand out. Any opinions?

Wow sooo much improvement! Really great use of the reflected gradient! I have to say, it really makes the text easier to read! Good work!
