Okay, well I've been playing around with PHP for about a year now basically teaching myself. I think I've gotten pretty good. I've done a few basic projects such as

User Authentication
Multi-User Event Calendar
Basic File Hosting
PHP Game (named Pork Quest )

But now I'm running out of ideas. If you think you've got a good idea please let me know. I do have a web server on my computer (WAMP.)

I had a project that thought me a lot about MySQL and PHP, it was very illegal though lol. It was a movie streaming site, only for me and my family. It worked great and it was fully dynamic in every way.

The site no longer exists.

I have been trying to think up projects also. I came up with the following:

An online or intranet website to enable employees to login, keep track of their time on different projects, and enable managers to view individual employee times on work orders and the total accumulated time on each workorder.

The employee would login, and clock in on a workorder, selected from the database. The workorder would have information such as customer, workorder number, employee id, hours worked, etc.

The employee would then clock in on a work order, stored in the database;
When the employee finished, they would clock out on this workorder, and clock in on another;

The manager would be able to access each employee's timesheet, and the accumulated time on each workorder, which would help in billing.

I think alot more could be added to this.

Another project that I did was to create a photo upload form, and automatically create an automated javascript slideshow with the uploaded photos and captions.

caps equals shouting when i read what you said it felt like you blasted my ears off

i would advise going around and offer your friends, family companies and ask them what type of website they want did that and i pocked some extra money and it was good experience.
