You insert the path to the image the same way you'd insert any other data.

There's a splendid tutorial on how to upload images into a DB and then display thumbnails and the original images in your web page at PHP Tutorials Examples Storing Images. You would use the same code for video, as an image and a video would both be stored as binary large objects (BLOBs).
