[programble]

FrozenIce is a web rendering engine and web browser written in Python using GTK and Cairo. FrozenIce will be cross-platform.

The current goals of this project are:

• To be highly extensible in all aspects
  
• To be able to properly parse HTML 4.01 and XHTML 1.0 compliant web pages
  
• To be able to handle mal-formed markup gracefully
  
• To be at least at the same rendering capability as Dillo by version 1.0

Other plans include:

• Two browser versions, Simple and Ultimate

The Simple browser interface will be a slim lightweight interface. The Ultimate browser will aim to provide all features present in modern browser (i.e. Firefox)

So far, the DOM structure is nearly completed and the HTML parser is also nearly completed.

We are looking for developers, testers, and just general supporters. Developers should be experienced in Python. We would like to get testers on different platforms.

To download the latest source code, run the following command:
git clone git://gitorious.org/frozenice/frozenice.git

There isn't all that much to test yet, but more updates are coming very soon! Tell me what you think!

Project renamed "FrozenIce", seeing as how Geox is apparently an Italian shoe company lol.

You can be a tester. Under what name would you like me to you to the Members list? Also, tell me if you can design graphics, write documentation, help files, do some coding, etc. We need all the help we can get.

Not just browser, web layout rendering engine as well. Besides, either way, it will be a learning experience. This project also has some interesting goals.

Theagd, you have a reputation of saying bad things it seems. Do we need another language and IDE? (Karma Shop)

No, we dont need another language and IDE, unless it brings something new to the table, and thats what im doing. I have a reputation for saying bad things about bad things. Quasar (Hyvar.NET) is an amazing program, I have never said anything bad about it becuase it is good. Same with open studio. If I dont like it ill tell you , but If I do like it, ill tell you that to. I state my opinions that is all, if you HATE anything that has to do with Karma Shop then thats ok, you have your right to an opinion.

Way ahead of you Downloaded the source code and was looking at it this morning. Is there a way to test it out yet? Was trying at it, but I couldn't get it to work.

You should not already be making opinions about FrozenIce, you have not tried it yet.
