PHP Text File Login System

Posted 13 October 2009 - 07:31 PM

Hey all,

I'm fairly new to PHP Programming, i have made a PHP Text File log-in System.

I have attached what i coded... I'm having troubles with the positioning of the Username and Password boxes..

This is how i want it to look, the login info at the top right..

Posted Image

Could someone please have a look at my code, and try to get it to look like that..

Also after the user is Logged In, There is an echo statement that says Welcome "UserName" etc.. i also want that to replace the login boxes and button.

My Login System: Click to Download

Thanks.

Daniel.

First, welcome to PHP, you'll love it.

Second, post your code in code tags[], it makes it a lot easier on everyone :)

Third, sorry I can't be more help, I'll try and get the download and screenshot tomorrow when I'm not on a dial up conn. (just moved)

...if noone else has helped you by then(someone probably will, there are lots of extremely knowledgable and helpful people here)

if it is just positioning then it is more likely to be a CSS or HTML problem than a PHP but I will take a look.

Is the database your using for this a text file? if so then that means you are using a flat file database which is a bad idea. You should use something like MySQL much easier and safer.

I agree with sam_benne - it would be better using MYSQL, but if you would rather use text files, you could use something like micro login:
