Hi guys,

I am going to work on a project which is for employee payroll and attendance system and then need to setup there database with a Fingerprint device, and they need it on the web I mean a Web Application with finger print system; I did a database with fingerprint but it is on Window Application (C#.Net), now can I connect PHP or ASP.Net (or any other web application language that required)? If i can than what should I do? dose it related to device that it supports web languages?

any help would be appreciate...

Are they hoping to have a system where people put their finger on the screen and the web page reads it?

You need some sort of client-side technology to get the fingerprint, obviously, from the fingerprint scanner. A web-browser plugin of some sort I guess.

I think how much of a pain it's going to be will depend on the device. Some have SDKs already written for web applications.

My bank has a Java application that connects to my scanner. I wonder if you could have a Java app that connected to the finger print scanner??

I think you would be able to create such an app using any language/plattform that are permitted access to the clients file system (C#, Java, Flash, you name it). The only important aspect is to be able to connect to and read the device and to send the data/information to the server where it will be processed/validated.

I was thinking about such windows application that send data to server, I am pretty good in C#.Net and I will use it to send data to server.
