HTML is not a programming language and people who know only HTML are not programmers. I'm sure most of you agree, but let's see if anyone says otherwise. Then laugh at them.

No, it's not a programming language. Just as baavgai said, it's a Markup Language, not a programming language.
I find it funny when I ask people if they program, they say yes, and I ask what language, and they say "HTML".

No it is a Markup Language for formatting web documents.

OP, I hope you realize that in your personal profile, under the section that asks you to list Programming Languages, you have put HTML, as well as CSS.

Let's keep it on the right track (not discussing profile fields).
In fact, I would expect someone who knows what HTML means (Hyper Text Markup Language) to understand without any explanation that it is a markup language, and nothing else. Convincing someone on the opposite would make no sense to me.

Programble, CSS is not a markup language. It is a style sheet language.
