The Difference Between MSN and Bing

What is the difference between these two search engines? On MSN's site it has a link to Bing. Are they the same? Why is Bing also called Live? Just curious! <_<

Bing is microsoft's new organic search engine. I also believe it is the replacement for MSN Live which was an Epic fail.

Bing is actually gaining some heavy ground on Google as of lately.
