I have Gigabyte e2sl motherboard with onboard lan.
My dhcp enabled broadband internet connection is working fine.
But when i connect the lan cable to my friend's pc. It shows cable disconnected.
The cable is ok and working, and my old motherboard did not give trouble like this on the LAN(friend and me).
Its wierd, perfect internet conn. but no lan.
Can anyone help me out ?

Can you try known-working cables?
Also, are you hooking up right to the mode, or is there a router, hub, or switch in the middle?

in your case there might be a wire cut inside the wire (that can happen) so try another ethernet lead see if that works

Chances are you have a bad NIC (Network Interface Card).

As we know A LAN (Local Area Network) usually covers a small area such as a certain office, a few buildings, or perhaps just a home. Monitoring LAN band width based up on the SNMP. Properly bandwidth report like volume utilization speeds and packet transfer. Otherwise there Band width monitoring tools are available which are efficiently work ,in a daily monthly and yearly bases.
