I am very knew at this and am a student in a programming class so bear with me. I am making a simple program for fun ( Its called the Fortune Teller).
What I basically want it to do is have it give you directions to type in a Yes or No Question and then after hitting Enter or something have it respond with a simple Yes or No.

After getting this idea down I was also going to try to incorporate a circle or sphere object resembling a 8 ball.

After fufilling this idea I was going to actually have the yes and no's appear in the 8 ball.

I have searched the web for randomizer's and just came up with some for words. Any help would be greatly appreciated but please remeber I am very new at this programming thing so you might need to dumb yourself down a little for me

I think we may need a little more clarification...is there a partion of this that you need help with, or is it the entire project? Have you done any of it so far?

Like I said I haven't been in this class that long so all I know how to do is basically write sentences using the System.out.println("blank");
and then making calculators and such.
Right now we are working on making shapes.
I have just missed alot of that class and am trying to basically sum it all up with this program so I can study the code of this program and get a better grasp of how it works.
So yea I need help with:
1. How to leave a blank for someone type.
2. How to have it so they can hit enter after entering next and more information appears.
3. Word Randomizer.
4. If I do get far enough then creating a sphere or circle.
5. Putting the Random word in the "8 ball".

Once again, Thank you so much for your help with this. I would really like to get a better grasp on programming. My father is a programmer but hasn't done Java in a while. He know like 28 different computer languages. Go Figure.

Rereading your question, are you building a graphical inerface as opposed to a console application? Do your questions have to do with putting perhaps a text area on a form, and having the user enter text in there?

I was thinking of keeping it simple and just using the console instead of graphical interface.
