Hey guys I'm pretty good with VB.net and I'm thinking about starting to learn a new language in the near future, I know a little C++ but is there another language that anyone recommends over C++?
Which language next?

Not really the right forum for this question. I'm moving this to the Corner Cubicle.
You understand a .NET language so picking up C# would be relatively easy so I'm not going to recommend that. I would say that C++ would be a good language to pick up but I would instead recommend picking up Java. Java syntax is simpler to understand than C++, personal opinion, and would give a good introduction to object-oriented programming if you did not really use it with VB.NET. I would then suggest moving on to C++ and if further down the road you were interested C#.

I would stick with vb.net a little while longer. But as for a next language, are you wanted to stay with Windows Development or maybe broaden out to other OSes? If you decide to stay with Windows I would start C#. VB.NET and C# would *kinda* let you build off each other.
If youre wanting to look out at other OSes, I would say Java.
