ZEND Framework

Posted 09 November 2009 - 02:42 AM

Hello Guys,

What is a Zend Framework? Does it help the novice-programmers like me to program Php-MySql based web-applications? :P

I have Xampp installed in my Win OS, how do I integrate Zend with that?

Thanks.

Som

Read up on MVC: http://en.wikipedia....view–controller
It will give you an idea of what frameworks are for, which is basically to organize code into logical components.

Typical php beginners have logic, database access, and display code all mixed together without any overall structure. While this works for small projects, it isn't long before the code gets to be too large to manage. Look through this forum at any time and you'll see several threads where people have run into this problem (although they don't realize it!). Using a framework is one way to structure code so that changes can be made without having to decipher the whole project.
