CodeRun - Complete Browser Based IDE

Post icon  Posted 11 November 2009 - 05:22 PM

CodeRun has introduced a full browser based IDE.

Quote

CodeRun Studio is an Integrated Development Environment (IDE), designed for the cloud. It enables you to easily develop, debug and deploy web applications using your browser.

I find this rather intriguing myself (Thanks Scott Hanselman).

Wow, that is pretty freaking sweet. Now if only I had ever used ASP or the .Net frameworks :)

It is a pretty cool project, and is actually something similar to one I had wanted to do a few years back (when I had nowhere near the knowledge to accomplish it). It is nice to see that others have some of the same thoughts as I do and are able to develope them :)

Nice find.

Interesting... I'll have to make sure to try this out sometime.

Looks rather nice at first glance though.

Yes, it is indeed a nice thing, especially when mobility and computing resources are critical. I wrote an article a while ago on using CodeRun to develop WPF applications. You can read it here if you want to.

Has anyone utilized the VS add-in yet?

I do like the fact that if I need to 'get my code on', I know I can from anywhere I have an active internet connection, but I will typically be sitting in front of VS so I'd like to know how the add-in holds up?

Discovered this via a twitter follower yesterday. Messed around with it for a bit. It looks quite interesting.

This will be pretty useful if I ever decide to learn PHP.

That looks pretty neat. It doesn't really support anything I do, since I'm not really a web developer :\
